Sharaf Alhourani
Sharaf Alhourani is a writer and translator living in the United States of America. Based in Cairo from 2010 to 2015, he served as a special correspondent and news assistant for TIME, Wall Street Journal, and the Washington Post. Alhourani has worked as a translator, interpreter, and research-fixer for many international news outlets and organizations, including Global Post and the International Consortium of Investigative Journalism. Mr. Alhourani published widely about the Arab Spring and subsequent conflicts in the MENA region. Recently, he contributed to the Boston Globe's "The Last Refugee," a series about the resettlement of Syrian families in the Boston area, and assisted HBO on the publicity tour for their documentary "Saudi Women Driving School."
Recently Sharaf Alhourani provided simultaneous interpretation for the UNDP at the UNHQ, and Colombia University. Sharaf also translated Refugees International report “Abuse, Corruption, and Accountability: Time to Reassess EU & U.S. Migration Cooperation with Tunisia.“
